Vijaykant (Vijay) B. Kambli, Board of Selectmen

  Vijay Kambli, PhD., has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, most recently as a department head at Norwalk Hospital’s Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

  Vijay, who holds an MBA from Sacred Heart University, has actively served in the town’s government since becoming a Burlington resident in 2003. In addition to being a founding member of Burlington Impact, a political action committee that opposed the use of eminent domain and airport expansion in Burlington, he has served as a member of the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Finance, and is currently serving as an alternate on the Planning & Zoning Commission.

  Vijay has also done volunteer work in several organizations, including Special Olympics, Manna Soup Kitchen, March of Dimes and Rebuilding Hartford (through AARP).

  Vijay has been committed to preserving Burlington’s small town character, peaceful way of life, and continued excellence for Region 10 schools through inclusive town government and responsible managed growth.
