Peter M. Perkins, Zoning Board of Appeals
Peter Perkins is a lifelong Connecticut resident and has lived in Burlington since 1990.
Peter is a licensed Civil Engineer who has worked on numerous major transportation projects throughout New England. For the past 12 years he has been employed by Clough, Harbour & Associates, and prior to that was employed by DeLeuw Cather & Co. Engineers and Planners from February 1988 to January 1997.
Peter graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a BSE in Civil Engineering in 1987; while at UConn, he also joined Alpha Phi Omega, the national service fraternity. He is an active member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA).
Peter has extensive experience in serving in Burlington’s town government, having been elected to office on the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Planning & Zoning Commission, and the Board of Finance. He had also been active with the Nutmeg District Boy Scouts for more than 20 years.
Peter and his wife Jane, who moved to Burlington for its rural setting and safe neighborhoods, are the proud parents of two children.
