Kenneth Allen, Board of Selectmen

  Ken Allen has lived in Connecticut for nearly 40 years and has been part of the Burlington community since 1994.

  Ken brings to the Board of Selectmen nearly two decades of experience working in leadership positions in the global financial services industry. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Chief of Staff to the President of Hartford Life Insurance Company, where he helped run a global enterprise of more than 12,000 people. Prior to that, Ken held positions of increasing responsibility in the Marketing, Operations and Financial Reporting areas of Hartford Life, where he gained significant experience managing large groups of people and complex strategic projects.

  Ken earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and an M.S. in Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. For many years, he has been an active supporter of the United Way and the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the University of Connecticut Health Center – John Dempsey Hospital.

   Ken and his wife Debbie are the proud parents of two daughters, both of whom attend Lake Garda School.
