James Rigdon, Board of Finance

  Jim Rigdon has been a resident of Burlington since 2006 and is a native of Connecticut, having been born and raised in Middletown.

  Jim has spent the past 11 years of his professional career in the insurance industry, first with CIGNA and most recently with Aetna. He is currently employed by Aetna as the Head of Strategic Planning and Performance Management for the company’s national account business.  His previous professional roles include Underwriting Manager, Controller, Senior Accountant, and Underwriter. Additionally, Jim spent the bulk of his career with CIGNA in their Financial Leadership Program, a program designed to develop future financial leaders for the company.  Jim holds a MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut, and earned Bachelor of Science in Finance from Marist College.

  Jim and his wife Alicia, a teacher in the Region 10 School District, are proud to be part of the Burlington community and are looking forward to many more years in the town.
