Christopher Dupras, Planning and Zoning Commission

  Christopher Dupras, a Burlington resident since 2002, is currently a Divisional Director in the Bond department for The Hartford.

  With more than two decades of experience in the construction surety bond industry, Chris brings to the table a wealth of management experience in public entity, developer, contractor, and attorney negotiations. He is a member of the Connecticut Chapter of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU), and is a recognized Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB) by the Insurance Institute of America.

  Chris was appointed to the Planning & Zoning Commission in 2007. He is a member of the Burlington Republican Town Committee, and is well versed in the unique needs of small-town growth, having grown up in the rural upstate New York towns of Plattsburgh and Saranac.

  Chris earned an MS in Management from Boston University and B.A. in Political Science from Syracuse University. He and his wife Suzanne are the proud parents of two children, a daughter and son.
