Catherine Bergstrom, First Selectman

  Cathy Bergstrom has been an active volunteer in Burlington since she moved to the town in 1996. Cathy served for nearly 10 years on the Lake Garda PTA, including leadership roles as the organization’s Treasurer and President. Cathy also served on the Burlington Junior Soccer Association from 1996 to 1998.

  Cathy’s political experience includes her current term as a member of the Region 10 Board of Education, a position she has held since 2005. She is also a member of the Republican Town Committee, and was a member of the Build the Future Together Political Action Committee in 2003 in support of the Region 10 school renovation project.

  In her professional career, Cathy worked as a Project Manager for the Hartford Financial Service Group and The Leverage Group. She was also President and Treasurer of BBC Consulting, LLC and has worked as a substitute teacher in the Region 10 system.

  Cathy earned a B.S. in Communications from the University of Connecticut. She and her husband Bruce are the proud parents of two children, both of whom attended the Region 10 schools.
